The competition is in four lakes (and 3 portages between) and the distance is 55km, I competed in 2011, 2012 and 2013, this year I rested. 🙂
The “+ “sign means that the race are a little longer than common marathon.

I would have loved to have seen that.
It’s a lovely event with lots of people cheering along the lakes and about 700 participants in the race.
This contest is about 50km from my home. 🙂

Kayaks, canoes, boards, dragonboats … they’re ALL in it to win it ! What super fun – and how amazingly exhausting it must be. 🙂
This year it was extra difficult with a decent headwind in the last lake (23km)
Especially for those narrow racing kayaks.
