On my way home from work, I stopped this time next to a small stream. For the first time I take pictures with a tripod and slow shutter speeds (0.5 to 1 sec). But I think I can do this much better. 🙂
And how much faster than .5″ can the camera’s shutter operate ?
My DSLR goes up to 1/4000 of a sec.
It’d be interesting to do a series of comparative speeds on the same stretch of water, don’t you think ? – or have you already done that, Stefan ?
Do you know that there are moosehunt-time right now up here?
😀
I can do it later.
Wow Stefan they are so beautiful they caught my breath when I first saw them, I just had to keep going back to have another look at them, are your Pictures copyrighted or do you share them freely.
You do indeed have a wonderful gift of capturing God’s awesome Creation, thank you so much for sharing them and the other ones I have seen and no doubt there are many more.

Great shot!
How lovely – you’ve managed to make the water look like silk!
I’ve had a play at at this myself, great fun and your shots are great!

Is it the slow shutter speed that makes the water look kind of solid …?
Yes, it was a little too bright in the air, but in the first picture I had 1 sec and in the last one 0.5 sec

Thank you Anne, my pictures on the blog are small (normally 1600 x 900 pixels) so I have no problem to share them.
