It’s a beautiful photo, Stefan … but I have a personal theory that snow shots must be full colour in order to get the maximum … ahh … effect, I suppose I mean. If you shoot scenes like this one in colour, you get a better end product, so to speak.

I you can get the shades in the trees it´s great in full colors, if not you can always destroy it with B/W.. 🙂 You have a Point there.
