Now I have changed on the paddle … again.
To get a little more stability in my paddle I glued on a strip of wood on the concave blade.
It will be interesting to test. The paddle stays still around 1000 g in weight. Length 2.30 m

För att få lite mer stabilitet i “draget” så har jag limmat på en typ midja på det konkava bladet.
Det blir spännande att testa. Paddeln håller sig fortfarande runt 1000 g i vikt. Längd 2.30 m.

We went out for a little walk today, great weather and the sun is getting warmer.

I made a holder for the burner so that it is steadier.
And the holder snaps into the pot when packing
It’s fun making things .. 🙂
Finally, my weird looking paddle is now finished. The length is 220cm and the weight are 1 kg.
I tested woodburning for the first time.. it´s not easy, it need some practise. 🙂

Following a tip from the internet (https://www.facebook.com/wayne.hanley.39), I made an “extra” burner for Trangia stove.
This also fits Biltema stove. Now it´s time to tidy it up a bit with the grinder.
It also have place for the brown cap to obtain slow burning

Although there is no ice and snow here, I do not like to go kayaking in cold water, some of you guys would not agree with me on that .. 🙂
So I just waiting for spring ……..
When I bought the kayak it had an underlying rudder that I was not happy with:
I changed it to a smaller one, (not so deep) of an alu-plate. That was better but I think i´m gonna paddle without rudder from now on.
I also did a cart, just for Dalsland Canoe Marathon race, it is not good in sand or other soft surfaces:
I added some elastic cord so it is easier to strap GPS, GoPro..

2013-08-3 Under min vänerpaddling (https://vanerpaddel.com/2012/07/23/bilder-fran-vaner-paddlingen/) tog kajaken in vatten i lastutrymmet bak, ca en liter per dag. Jag fick lasta om så att enbart vattentäta påsar placerades i aktern. Som ni ser på bilderna så har man fuskat “lite” i tillverkningen. Jag får göra en tillfällig lagning nu, det är ju snart dags för Dalslands Kanotmaraton+ (13 Aug). Har börjat att kika på ny kajak, Vänerkajak har fått in ett nytt märke (för mig), Kayman i tre modeller till humana priser, dessa ser intressanta ut.
