When I opened our mailbox today it was a pipe Stanwell from Denmark ( ordered through http://www.Brobergs.se )
.and some samples of a variety tobacco blends from http://www.mellgrens.se
I´m happy now… really happy. 🙂
EDIT: A better pic on the pipe.
The Virginia plants have been moved to some larger pots.
Now are all the varieties of tobacco seeds with leaves. 🙂
Now it Semois turn to show some leaves, only Virginia Brightleaf and Huehuetenango left now to show themselves.
A small test with seeds from:
Prilep (P66-9/7): An oriental tobacco from Macedonia.
Huehuetenango: From Guatemala, a cigar-filler variant.
Semois: Belgian burley
In five days, the leaves are shown.
After 4 days, there are life in the soil!! 🙂
I have sown the first seeds ” Nicotiana rustica,” I am waiting with the Virginia a couple of weeks.
It takes a couple of months before we are “frost safe” here in the middle of Sweden.
Hi, I have bought a few different types of seeds of tobacco;
Nicotiana rustica and Virginia (Nicotiana tabacum) and a few more varieties are on order.
During the year I will hopefully harvest, dry, ferment and shred self-made pipe tobacco (maybe I do a few flakes too).
If you want, you can follow my adventures in this project here on the blog.
The seeds are very tiny, here are Nicotiana rustica with long shadows
